Congratulations to our Teacher of the Year!

The Francisco R. Walker Teacher of the Year for RHMS is Ms. Katrece Freeman. Ms. Freeman is our drama teacher. Our teachers chose Ms. Freeman to represent Richmond and wish her the best of luck as she goes on to compete in the South Regional Center's TOY competition.

Through Florida KidCare, the state of Florida offers health insurance for children from birth through age 18, even if one or both parents are working. It includes four different parts. When you apply for the insurance, Florida KidCare will check which part your child may qualify for based on age and family income.

Principal's Corner

Calling all Raiders!
 
It's about that time of the year again...it's time to take the FCAT.  I know you've all been learning and preparing for successfully taking it.  The tests will start in April which is about a month away.  That gives you some time to really buckle down and practice those skills that you need to strengthen. Talk with your teachers and find out what you can do to better prepare yourself.  Also make sure you watch the HAPS during homeroom so that you can practice FCAT skills and become familiar with the type of questions that will be asked.  You can also stay after school to get help in Reading, Math and Science. 
 
We are here for you and will work with you to make sure you are prepared to do your best.  Remember to Focus, Concentrate And Try!
